A picture that Im throwing the towel in on. Sorry guys but it looks like I wont be finishing this. I started it probably a year ago now? Im not sure how long but its been a looong time. It was going to be a giant group picture with a good sum of some of my best online friends’ characters. I dont know if they all have tumbr accounts, but if you see your character in here leave a comment so people know your tumblr if you want. Sorry I never finished it. You are all very important to me and it makes me kinda bummed that I dont talk to some of you as often anymore. I hope you are all doing well!
I tend to look back on my sketches with great fondness. Heres a sketch from a picture I finished a while back.
I admit that I have a shitty attitude a lot of the time, and I don’t want to be a broken record the way I am. But yeah. When you say odd, obsessive things chronically, having a friend who doesn’t internalize it and sees it as you just venting … well… that’s nice. I have this relationship with my mom when she gets in a worry-loop and vice versa. I also have this relationship with a couple good friends back home.
I know I drew this in a one-sided “oh poor me” sort of way, but really, this is usually the response I get when I say what’s on my mind. I am glad that I have generally safe places to go when I need to vent.
I think this is true for a lot of people. Everyone could use a friend to listen sometimes. I implore you, be an ear to a buddy of yours. It can make all the difference.
